OuTsiDe iN a PaRk
I went along for the ideas.. I am not the best at these things but I am having fun with it. It has been that I would share what I would like to have pictures of and he would go out and find it. In addition to what he wanted to take pictures of of course. But it is so fun for me to go with him. We are pretty low key about it and it is so nice to be out and about doing something with him.
Luka would have loved the day as well. We went to a park. But since I have been doing some food experimentation I thought it was best that he stayed home. No one wants a dog with an upset tummy! His tummy is doing so much better! Which is wonderful! I am getting things figured out. Wish he wouldn't have to suffer through my inadequacies.
The day was glorious though, not to cold, I thought it was going to be. It was chilly. I wore a tee shirt a bulky sweater a jacket a scarf and brought gloves along too! It worked out rather well. I used everything but the gloves and I did not freeze to death! Of course I think I was wearing more than EVERYONE else who was out that day, but who cares!
We even met up with some friends! We took their pictures too! That was really fun! They did a great job of having fun in front of Jason's lens.
We even stopped to see our friends baby. By then I was getting pretty tired. I did not say anything of course as then Jason would have just taken me straight home. I really wanted to go see our friends at the hospital!
So we did. I even held the new little guy for a bit. (About 2 minutes.) Before my arms could not do it any longer.. I was even sitting in a chair with arm rests.. I was bummed.. but hey. I don't hold many babies. It has been hard for me to do, and I would not want to drop them. The chair worked out great it provided good support so dropping was not going to happen..
He is adorable! He was awake and everything! Pretty cool!.. until my arm started freaking out.. His proud papa then held him until he fell to sleep. Mom and Dad are doing great! The nurses think Mom is super mom, she was up and about the day or so after her C section!
She looks gorgeous and radiant as well of course!
We had a great visit with them! By the time I was done I could not hide my exhaustion. But I was so happy to have gone to see them! Jason had a great time too! We really like hanging out with our friends! I am sure we will be getting together for supper in a bit as well. At least I would like to.
Look at what the military is testing?
It was a great day!

ShOpPiNg
Not sleeping well last night it was no wonder that Luka's nose found me.. his persistence paid off and I woke up enough to take my medication. Thankfully so! Not sure what happened but I am still feeling horribly achey and sore today. I am wondering if I need to take even more medication. I am doing well but can only imagine what today would have been like with out him.
Jason woke up too, because every time I try to be quiet, I think I am noisier that ever! So frustrating. At any rate it was nice because Luka just was not calming down. So he got put in bed by me. Thank goodness for our king sized bed. Jason needs it anyway because of his size but with three of us in here I am so grateful for it. Especially since I am the one in the middle.
Luka dutifully curled up next to me and slept there with me all morning. Which I was glad for. Often if he alerts on me he sticks to me like glue. Which is so nice.
On another topic, the food I made him yesterday of reheated potatoes did not seem to agree with him. He got sick late this morning. Not at all what I wanted to deal with but hey, at least I could.
So I will try cooking the food yet again, I am guessing the raw eggs did not meld with the potatoes therefore some how upsetting his stomach.. That was the only difference this time..
I have also stopped the dry food. Since doing these adjustments I did not want to confuse my results so I will start the kibble again next week to check out what happens.
I wish things were a little simpler. The load of laundry I was planning to fold yesterday is still sitting here. I ended up cooking something to eat rather than folding the load of laundry. I've been staring at it. I hope to get that done today. Although I am sure that some of it will be so wrinkled that it will need to go back into the dryer. ( that is my pet peeve.. wearing wrinkled clothes )
My whole body feels like it weighs a ton today, my legs hurt in strange places my arms hurt in strange places.. gosh I really don't know what is going on. I am guessing I have just over done things. So here I sit. I have been looking out the window at the birds. Jason got a couple more pictures which is so nice!
I have also been looking at some things online as well. Mostly facebook as I am not doing well in the thinking department today. It is on again off again for me. Besides my head is still hurting. The additional medication is sounding better and better.. Probably should go find some more before I forget again..
I am doing pretend shopping on Etsy today! Looking at all of the beautiful things and imagining that I have just ordered them. Some for myself and some for gifts for others. I do this in catalogs and magazines as well, only I grab a permanent marker and do it with them. Today I am only doing the internet thing.
It makes me feel better. I can't say why, but since I have always loved shopping I guess it stands to reason. Besides, doing it this way is much easier, I can have an unlimited budget and can gift everyone I know! Have you been to Etsy? Surely you have! It is where you can find anything made by hand, and some old things as well.
You can find things from the Wild and Fun to the Simple and Chique!
Here are some of the fun things I have found! I think these would be great to wear to an exercise or dance class. I love the white ones! Brazilian Style of course!! Cha Cha Cha!
This would be pretty in my hair I think!
This is just so lovely!
This reminds me of four special little girls!
My niece would love this!
I love vintage jewelry!
Well you get the idea! I could go on and on and on all day! I mostly just sit and look at the recently posted items. I have never purchased anything off of Etsy. I would love to! But just can't justify it. Jason says I can justify anything I want. But little does he know how long my list can go!
Mind boggling.. and NO I do not sit here and think of every thing I can't have and be miserable! Quite opposite, I am just happy that there are people out there living their dreams, following their passion and I love seeing what great things they come up with. You never know.. some day I may become an Etsy purchaser! For now I will be a dreamer!
Here's to happy dreams!

FoOd!?!?
Thrilled with the improvement in the weather. I am sure that is helping. I really could share lots more about how I have been feeling but it is so similar to how I always am that I am finding it to boring to share more of.
However, I am frustrated. I managed to slice my finger open yesterday while I was feeling well.. but I have no clue when I did it... I have a feeling there is blood everywhere.. I finally noticed the blood, by then it was dried all over my finger. Thank goodness I clot! That could have been bad. Kind of freaks me out that I don't notice some of these things. ( I AM A DRAMA QUEEN) =)
Of course, now, I feel my finger.. It hurts as I type.. but obviously not bad enough to not type. While it is puffy and sore, it is not cut where my finger bends, it is actually on the pad of the finger.. so no matter what I do with my right hand I am going to feel it..
The nice weather has really been a thrill. My new knitting hobby, goes great with the sunshine also. My Doctor had shared that he wanted me to get some sunshine.. so I sit out side and knit! It is perfect! I plan on doing this everyday I can. Even if I don't feel the best I am figuring out how to do that. Sunscreen on of course! The knitting is something simple I can do outside. I have not done allot of knitting but the more I do the better I am getting. I am sure I am still making mistakes, but I am not really doing it for perfection...
Luka has been doing great too! That is so nice. His feet are healing! YEA! He is doing so good about leaving them alone. I think they are finally almost all closed up. In celebration we are also trying a new dog food.. FINGERS CROSSED! As Luka is eating us out of house and home. We've been making his food for months now. It seems to be the only way to keep his allergies at bay. When he has an allergic reaction it creates "HOT" spots on his feet, which he will lick raw, and then start chewing on because of the itch and sores.. it can get out of control quickly!
So, these are the things he has allergies too.. with a reminder that you should never feed someone's dog with out asking permission first..
Grains ( all that we have tried including corn, wheat, oats, rice )
Poultry ( our Vet shared that we should avoid all birds as well )
Milk
Preservatives (don't know which ones specifically )
Here is what he can eat:
Potatoes White and Sweet
Squash
Zucchini
Beef
Deer
Flax Seed
Salmon (fish)
Pumpkin
Apples
Bananas
Pears
We are also giving him the same Isagenix Products that we eat as well. They are loaded with protein and vitamins. He even likes eating the little Snack Bites!
Oil- Still working out which one is best, but he seems to do alright with Canola and Olive Oil..
An additional Supplement called Immunoplex that seems to be helping also!
Eggs, but must be mixed with the Hot White Potatoes.. otherwise he can't eat those either.. grrr.
Tried beans, but boy is he stinky with those! So we are avoiding those for now!
He gets snacks of Beef Livers, Dried Sweet Potato, Isagenix Snacks, Deer Jerky, Dried Beef, Apples, Dried Seaweed (wierd I know!)
So that is what we are doing these days. We've tried lots of different dog foods, many with disastrous results for his feet! I hesitate to even try one more, but each time we try something new, I guess we are also learning what else to avoid...
I am just so thankful that our Vet figured out this solution for us! We are trying a preservative free food now, that also avoids all of the things we know are bad for him.. Fingers Crossed... It has been so hard to keep food made for him. We are doing it, but WOW, having a dog food option as well would be helpful..
I swore I would never cook my dogs food.. Once again I have learned never say never! I am just going to go with the flow!
One other great thing, since I have been feeling better, I have been able to get some cleaning and organizing done! Oh that is a good thing for sure. Our house while being far from "trashed" was making me nuts! I have been saving egg cartons. We now are back to getting our eggs from a local farmer, in fact they are supposed to be delivered today in fact!
I chose to be preemptive this time, and have already placed my bag of egg cartons outside! So when my delivery guy shows up I can make sure to send those with him. YES, my local farmer DELIVERS! Woo Hoo!!
We've got all of our recycling things out and ready to go as well, bad thing is that where we live they stopped the free collection of plastics and card boards. Grrrr... So we will have to look for another place to recycle those or just dump them in the trash I guess. I am not paying extra and changing garbage companies to get that service curbside. We don't make that much trash!
I now just have to get my taxes in order. I usually end up filing late anyway. I don't mind doing that, my CPA is awesome, and has plenty of other people's taxes to get done early. He has my preliminary stuff and so we are all set that way.. We still do the same thing essentially, but just get things done a bit later..
But I will plan to have my things to him before the deadline in case he gets done with everyone else early.
I really work to be on time.
I am also excited about planting things, although right now with my aching neck and messed up finger it doesn't sound fun at all. Yesterday I did manage to get some organizing done in the garage as well. Yes, I entered Jason's domain. I think he wanted to boot me out of there... I was reorganizing his entire area. I couldn't help it, I had plans.. ( we had discussed them last year.. I remembered them but had not been well enough to be able to do anything about making it happen until yesterday )
Jason to say the least was a little shocked! But he did recall the conversation and let me do my thing, he moved what ever I asked him to and was so helpful despite being fried from working all afternoon. When he got home I was in full swing of clean and organize! I think he was stunned! To be honest, I was too, I never thought a day would get here that my body would let me move and do things. This winter was brutal!
My migraines were under control for the most part thankfully, I got allot of them but no ER visits for them! That is HUGE! Yea! LUKA!!
Today, no matter how I feel I have to get the potatoes baked, and the squash baked too.. Otherwise, Luka is going to be starving! That would be so bad! Even if that is all I do!
I'd also like to park myself outside for a while as well.. That would be good too.. So we'll see! I am hopeful, the day is young!
Hoping your day is productive too! Blessings,

AtTiTuDe & mY hUbBY!
You just start picking up the pieces one at a time.
Our lives often feel like a puzzle. Often times fitting together perfectly. Most of the time a little effort is required, if not allot of effort.
Today seemed to be no exception. I don't feel like disclosing what happened. I will say it involved money of course..
But Jason is once again my hero. This time he used major amounts of self control, I am sure! I am sure thoughts of running the other direction entered his mind every time I started to speak. He also gave me hope when I was losing it.
I appreciated that. I am usually the hopeful one.. but I am frustrated these days and on and off of pain meds I am sure does not help my mental state.
At any rate.. Jason persisted through many obstacles that were in his way. He came out on the other side my shining hero! I really know that his frustration and stress level have not been decreasing. He however has really been shining in the attitude department! I am not sure what he is doing. He really never has been bad or horrible... he used to just be less than excited about some things.. and his tone would reflect it.
His tone has changed. His attitude is changing. I am loving that!
He deserves so much credit for sticking with me! He has just been the best husband anyway. He does everything that has to be done. This time what he did helped me be a stronger person. His attitude and willingness to do all that he could with the best attitude really meant the world to me. It makes me love him even more. He is quite wonderful. I feel blessed in the midst of difficult times.
He has also been out taking some other great pictures!! I am really impressed with what he does! I love looking at all of the cool things he is out seeing and capturing digitally! We have yet to print any of his shots.
Maybe in the future. But since that costs extra we will just have to have a plan!
I love this one. It is so simple it is peaceful to me!
Some leaves hang on despite all of the challenges that winter provides and this winter was a doozie! These leaves to me remind me of the potential in all of us to hang on spring or a new season will be here soon!
I wish I could do something that would improve things as we know it. I am working on that...
For now I am just going to hang on and listen to him playing his guitar in the basement!
Love you honey, and I appreciate you and all that you do!

A LiTtLe dReAm!!
Dream about it!
So even though this is pretty much what everything looks like I sure would like to be gallivanting around to see it all for myself! Well, I do get to go to see Dr. M. tomorrow! YIpie Ky Yo... I don't mean that! But that is the most exciting thing I have planned! I have managed to not take any medication today! I am sure my liver is appreciating that!
Hope I've been good enough today that my night will go as smoothly!
Of course I do have a list of other things I need/want to do tomorrow. Time will tell. It will be up to Jason if they all happen I suppose. Or he may just have to go run around and do the things for me... with a Honey PLLLLllllleeeeeeZZZZZZE!
He is so amazing about that sort of stuff. I try not to ask him to by "girl stuff". You know what I mean...
I am sure he would, but I am not sure I would get what I ordered! I would guarantee he would get me something, but exactly what I wanted?? I even have to stand in that isle for an hour to find the right package.
He did grab the absolutely perfect shampoo the other day though! I was pretty impressed! I even got a confirmation phone call! Now that is a Real Man for you!
My definition has never included muscles and a nasty attitude. Although he does have muscles.. but he checks the attitude!
We just got back from another of his teaching trips. He ended up having to pack my bags and all when we came home. I try to pack my bags. I should be able to put shirts in a bag.. I am so grateful that he did that. He also carries everything loads everything, and even made a trailer to hall things. Of course he likes it when we leave that at home! Which we often do! Our little wagon is quite handy.
So life is good. I have a good man here to make sure I make it everywhere with all of my pieces! A dog that goes along for the ride and is around when my good man isn't.
Blessed and Dreaming! Hope you are too!

pAiN
I had gone to the bathroom and let Luka out to do his business too! Not much really. I guess something in me has had it. I sat back down and after a bit I realized that I might be in pain. Weird I know. I should be able to tell.. Well you'd think so!
But I also can not tell hot water sometimes and my skin turns bright red before I realize it is too hot. So it is the same with my migraines, as well as my neck and upper back pain. Right now I notice a very deep burn between my shoulder blades. There is also some higher, but I now have my head braced and am not moving it at all.
I think my medication is working but I thought writing might help the antsy feeling I am having also. I am at least being distracted. I am also watching a dog training DVD.. That is a calming thing to watch! I really am learning quite allot!
In addition I have found a new blog I am not sure if I will keep following it but I did really like a few of the posts! I just found it! You might like it also! It suited this subject so I thought I would mention it and offer other perspectives!
I am hopeful that I will be able to meet our friends fiance! She is bringing him home for the first time! I am not going to need to drive. A friend is picking me up! Yea! She even asked if I wanted to go with her! I was over joyed! She will have room for both Luka and I! To top it off I get to meet her daughter whom I have never met!
Over joyed by the prospect!
Blessings!

HoMe hEaRt iS
Jason is home again. Which is so nice. He is sleeping now and since I've been a night owl, I am typing. I think when I go to sleep he will soon wake up. Which works out fine anyway. He's got plans to go out and snap some more pictures!
I am happy for that. I know he didn't take many shots on his teaching trip. So this will give me more to look at tomorrow. I have really been craving something new to look at. We have bunches of pictures, lots of decent ones and many good ones. We also have lots of bad ones.. so I think I am going to work on deleting those! Get them out of our files.
I also need to get some pictures printed. I have to get those chosen as well. I am really hoping that tomorrow will be a nice day and I can get outside for a bit and sit in my chair. My medication should be available as well. So that might solve a few of my issues. Fingers crossed!
While my life has come to a slow down, others I know have had their lives put on the fast track. They are busy multi-tasking and doing this interesting thing and that. I am glad that they are. My head lately has been slow. Slow at even imagining. I don't know if the depression is getting worse or what.
Yeah, I realize I am depressed. I have been down this road. You could say I am an expert. I will beat it. I sure could use some warm weather and sunshine to make it easier. Come on Spring! Lets turn this country GREEN!
I need to get our taxes sorted for our CPA also. Yikes. That is going to take a clear head. I have hopes of doing that. I have gathered everything, I did that in Feb... I am going to start running out of time.
I also would like to do some baking. A friend posted a gluten free recipe on her blog.
Another friend would be fun to have over to eat the gluten free recipe with! She could probably use it too. She's going through a rough transition. Brain Surgery. Can you even imagine what that must be like. Anyhoo.. she had a seizure this week her first week out from surgery. We are worried for her as you can imagine.
At the same time we are also quite frustrated. I am not in any condition to go off galavanting to see her. Hopefully I will get something worked out with that. It would be perfect to go hang out with her. I am not sure if she is buzzing around her house or sitting quietly.. but either would be fun. Her hubby could probably use someone to talk with also.
Since Jason is practically an expert in dealing with lifestyle change.. Both guys are so similar it is frightening! It would be something that they may both enjoy as well. Who knows, we will just have to see what happens.
I did look outside today. Last week or sometime anyway, I had taken a picture of a robin. A big big fat robin. Full of eggs. Today I glanced out the window to see skinny robin's out and about. So I wonder if the eggs are all laid?
I am quite proud of this picture! Jason was even surprised! I must say that I am even more proud because I changed the camera's settings to get the lighting right. Jason had shown me how one day.. Well, I hadn't paid that good of attention to how he got to the screen.. So I just started pushing buttons..
I am sure he would have been mortified and terrified that I was going to wreck something.. But hey, the camera is virtually a computer right?? The main thing is not to drop it! And I had that puppy hooked on so it was not going anywhere!
I shot my first bird! (BIG GRIN)
I really can't wait to see more birds. My grandmother used to paint them all of the time. Maybe that is what I will try to do as well. She liked using acrillic paint. But I think I am more of a watercolor girl. I have been wanting to try out the oil thing... so who knows.
I also want to make a braided rug. I am guessing I will need help with this stitching the whole thing up because it will get quite heavy. But we really need a rug for our living room and I think I could make a pretty great one! I have it all in my mind.
I thankfully have not had a migraine the past day or so! I am super thrilled about that! The last one I had was a doozy with all of the other issues I was having. Luka caught it, so while it did get worse than they have been we did get it caught soon enough for the meds here at home to take care of it. Thankfully! I really hate going to the ER.
I might give the urgent care thing a try sometime. But I need to find out more about that. I have a feeling they'd just throw their hands up in the air with me. Placate me and I still would have no relief.
Hopefully that issue is mute anyway. I plan on only going to the hospital as a visitor, not as a patient.
Since I have not been moving around much, my neck is doing better! No moving no causing unhappy nerves! But my rear end and the back of my head are going to need a vacation. They are so unhappy! Way to much sitting in similar positions!
I am looking forward to dying some Easter Eggs. I can't wait to share pictures! They are going to be glorious! I even have friends coming to dye them with me! I don't know what I will do with them, but I just thought they would be fun to make. It is a workshop with a teacher and everything! I am so excited!
The last one of these I could not attend. So I am better prepared this time. Jason is going to be home and can run Luka and I out to the class! Even if I feel crummy I will go and watch! That way I can do it later on my own!
I think the way we will be doing the eggs will be similar to using water color as well. Not the same but similar. It looks interesting to me anyway. I can't wait to share pictures!
Life is a gift, be sure to open yours!
Blessings,

a SiMple GiFt... FoR YoU...
Writing my blog has really been a great outlet for my soul. I found myself as I kept loosing more and more of my dreams. At this point I am not focused on any dreams or goals except making it through each day with as much grace and with as much as I can accomplish. I don't really see how that adds up to much but possibly over the long term it may.
If you read my earlier posts you will notice I had some pretty big dreams. If you knew me I worked constantly at self improvement. It was something I have always struggled with. But if I wanted something bad enough, I worked on myself until I could go after it.
Reading the I Am In Love With This World post by Ree. Just really reminds me of how big this world is and how little even a small goal or dream can become. For me this post came at the perfect time. The sun has been starting to shine and I have been able to see some beautiful robins outside my window.
So this post is going to be of some of the wonderful things that Jason and I have captured on film. Keep in mind it won't compare to hers but for us each of these things has had meaning in our lives as well.

CoNnEcTiOnS... SiMiLaRiTiEs...
You of course can choose to check them out or not. While reading another blog that I like, one written by a Veterinarian she shared a story about dogs getting Post Traumatic Sress Disorder while in combat. Of course domestic dogs are also traumatized by things such as lightening, thunder, brooms, men, women, or children. I will be sharing more about this as she is going to be doing some research on this area.
While looking at a link she had posted I came across another that I want to share today with you. This is a link on how a Service Dog, a Psychiatric Service dog is able to assist his owner, a veteran with disabling mental trauma. I really do hope you will check it out. The link is from the Wall Street Journal Digital Network.
I hope you will take a minute to check out these links.
With the weather getting nicer, my dream of getting my garden going has started to reemerge. I am really hoping that Jason will till more parts of the yard. I also want to get the soil tested. Last year I was highly unsuccessful with certain areas of our yard that we planted.
I am also having a huge desire to get a better watering system set up. One that I don't have to move around. Some days that just does not work, and my plants should not have to suffer for it.

NeW dOoRs!
I now know, it is people like me, who find it difficult to get out and see what the rest of the world can see easily and regularly as they choose. Ha! An answer to another life long question. =)!
I love catalogs, I rarely order, but I do grab my permanent marker and circle everything I love! Makes me feel like I have gone shopping. I do miss grabbing the fabric of a shirt through my fingers to see how it feels, or picking the hanger up an holding it in front of me to actually get a different perspective. What I miss most is trying the varying styles, colors and outfits on before leaving the store. Spending hours just looking or trying things on. I loved that!
Now, my favorite place to shop is at thrift stores. I just grab everything in my size toss it into a cart and check out. I then try it all on at my leisure at home and can return what doesn't work. Hey, it works! I still get to test it all out! Now that I know what I like and what looks better than others, it has become even easier.
My creativity is hard at work as well to discover what goes good together. Styles from the past still work today! You just have to know how to put things together. I found out that after spending years in bed and not going out at all except to Dr's offices. That my style was dated. My makeup style was dated, and so was my style for choosing clothing. I am not sure that it is still much better. I feel that I missed out on a whole bunch of different styles. And besides having to get a whole new wardrobe from thrift stores, because I had gone down in size 12 whole sizes proved to be an expensive venture, even at thrift store prices! Good news, I am figuring it all out!
I still have to rid my closet of things that make me look as if I were 12 years old. Ha! But, I really love wearing clothes that I would have never dreamed of wearing before. So if you see me in something age inappropriate, just smile and know I will be tired of it soon! But give a girl a chance to express herself before she sends those things back to the thrift store.
I've got several friends who are also loosing! Some are doing it the way I did! Others are doing it differently! I think it is great to find what works for you! One friends Blood Pressure has gotten into normal ranges with the loss of 7 pounds! Another has lost 10-15 and hopes to find hers lowered as well soon. One more is fitting into clothes from her past! She has been just loving it! Yet another keeps shrinking little by little and is using it as an opportunity to spice up her wardrobe with new things! Fun Fun Fun!
I am so excited for everyone! I am also excited for me! As you know if you've been following my journey that I didn't start with my program to loose weight I started it for the vitamins to get my bones stronger, and follow the Dr's recommendations. Side benefit of the program I chose was loosing weight! Yippee!! Size 16 to a size 2! Yeeeks!!
As an additional perk along with some basic Physical Therapy, some help from Luka my Service Dog who tells me prior to my getting one type of my migraines caused from weather and movement, and being on a regular vitamin and cleansing regimen the severity of my migraines has decreased substantially! I still get them about half as frequently or so.. weather has allot to do with that I think, and I am learning what I can and can't do more with therapy so I don't cause more. At any rate the severity has decreased abundantly! Woot Woot Woot! I had inklings of this last year! I dared not say anything for fear that it was just seasonal.
I've been holding out on sharing because I wanted it to be a reality not just a happy thought! I have made almost no migraine trips to the er! Woot!! I have had a few. But amazingly and wonderfully my body is making progress! < Mental Happy Dance Inserted Here =) > Rarely do I actually get up and wiggle!
I told myself, "Self, give it the winter, decide in the spring about how excited you should actually be." Well, it isn't quite spring. But in light of all that is happening and the 40 Degree weather... I am imagining it to be just around the corner.
Thus the gardening book as well!
Now if only the regular daily problems that I face and have would be improved. I did have a great day yesterday. Interesting and everything.
I had my regular massage therapy appointment. Now really understand that going to the therapist that I see is not one of those pleasurable experiences. He isn't one of the phooo foo massage therapists, that heats up rocks and oils and has relaxing scents floating in the air. It isn't lush or fancy it is work. Work on his part the guy who does the Neuromuscular Massage as well as work on mine. This is a painful type of massage it is good pain, but you aren't necessarily filled with energy or renewed afterward. What I notice is a great sense of deep pain relief. I am able to get in and out of the jeep easier, I can hold myself up straighter and I can sit for longer.
I have to hold back the tears many day. Hold back the cries for the therapy to stop. I just focus on breathing to get through it each week. It hurts, but the short amount of time he works on me will give me relief for much longer. The pain is good pain, the relief comes at a price. It is one of the least invasive and healthiest ways I can get some relief.
Pills don't take away the pain they just hide it. Getting this done each week, brings back the blood flow to my arms, makes it possible to move and hold my head up stops or reduces the sciatic pain. For me it is a necessary evil. =) I say this with a bit of humor, as my therapist is so not evil.
This type of massage isn't the one that you want to get if you want to feel like you've just gone to heaven and you feel all floaty and dreamy. Before my auto accident I used to go for those! Ahhh! I remember the days! < Dreaming> Dream over..

My particular massage therapist is the best I have ever been to. I will tell you more soon I promise.
Well, I did read a couple more pages in my gardening book. Which I think will help me choose what to plant. I had hoped to get to the library, but the library here in town is tiny and has absolutely no good place for me to be. Which is frustrating because I grew up going to the library! My mom worked at one and so did my mother in law. My sister having told me about her library (the one I grew up using) shared that she could access her's online. I don't think mine has that option. I have looked online. Grrr.
So I am now reduced to doing what so many others must do. Take advantage of those crazy things that come in the mail. Use the internet to buy things and order from catalogs instead of stores. Not horrible for sure. Much preferred to my anxiety of going new places. With out a doubt it is a much better option as well, as Jason hates to shop.
I love to lollygag and look at everything that is new. Go down isles, look touch and peruse. He is a man on a mission. Really these days that is the way it works for me to. I most of the time don't have the energy to cruise the entire store.
With my Physical Therapy, I have really focused on walking enough with the crummy weather this winter, consistent snow and ice this has presented a problem for me. We did get a tread mill for $50 from Craigslist. I have a feeling the $50 would have been better spent on snow melt. The darn thing hardly works. Jason would rather I not hop on. If he does well the darn thing just won't move. And the noise! Yia Yie Eie.. it really is sadly comical =).
So, that hasn't been the best investment. This spring and summer when people once again don't want theirs maybe we can find something better. I am finally feeling able to be walking again anyway. The weather thankfully may even be cooperating! I am sure thankful for that!
Luka is resting here with me today. We are both tired from yesterday. My old guy really needs som good weather too!is still doing well at not aggravating his allergy sores. Thank goodness, soon hopefully with vigilance he will be thoroughly healed!
Yesterday, after the therapy appointment, we were interviewed! Yep! Interviewed! About LB858! I will be sharing more about this soon too! Allot more. That is all that I will be saying for now.
There is more but it will have to wait. It is taking me forever to write today.
Blessings and new doors to new places!

Nothing in life is permanent. It is all temporary, your youth is temporary, your future is temporary, your past is gone.
You can't rely on people, 1/2 the information they have is incorrect, but they think it is correct. That is what I have deduced from my own experiences. The more I think I know the less I really do.
I feel good some days but that is temporary, other days I feel bad, that to is temporary. I like change, I really do, but it is nice in my life to also have some consistency. Even if that is also temporary, I realize this as well.
You really can find comfort in the small stuff. The sun rising and setting, even though these days you might not know it with all of the intense cloud cover.
Today has gone well, I was up and around most of the day, that felt good! I was able to clean up a pile of shoes that I will be finding new homes for. I actually have a pile of things to take down to the ReFind Shop.
I have yet to decide if this venture is really worth it. This winter has slowed the store down, no one goes walking downtown these days to shop. Hopefully soon the folks will pop in for a visit and take some of my clothes home!
My day also held a fun opportunity. We've got another dog that needs to find a home. This one is a bit different. Let's just say he's a lover not a fighter. He isn't what he seems either. It has it's good and bad sides as well.
I may share more about him in the future. I am hoping though that the person we've shown him too may want to take him home. That would be pretty cool. Of course they might not be a good fit. So we'll just have to wait and see. At any rate you will get to see pictures of our beautiful guy, Jason has promised to take pictures!
Speaking of pictures Jason is going to be taking pictures at a wedding! That is going to be fun! I used to do lots of weddings, help the photographers, and brides! But that was years ago. This will be even more fun this time around, I can do what I am able, and watch Jason work his magic.
Please keep in mind that Jason will not be becoming a "wedding photographer". But for some special occasions he will accept offers to do large occasions.
We have one coming up here soon as well. I can't talk about it as it is top secret! And I am not going to be the one that spills the news! Uh uH. But that will be fun for sure as well! Jason is going to take pictures at that event as well!
He has really been having some fun! He really likes to take out door pictures too.. I think he likes just about everything to do with taking pictures of people and things. Besides he is good at it, and getting better.

WoW… EvEr hAvE ToO MuCh To SaY?
The sun is shining! That is good. Jason got a roof rake. He also explained to me the mechanics behind getting one and how we don’t want our gutters to freeze up, and water to get under the shingles, then flow freely down the inside of the walls.
Yikes! I am glad that he knows about these things. Honestly, in the world we live in today, how can anyone keep up with everything that you need to know.
Even if you know what needs to be done having the materials to do it, and the skill required or MONEY needed. OMG!
If I had it to do over again, I’ve been thinking about this regularly if you can imagine… I’d have wanted to disperse our income out differently.
Where we are at, well lets just say things are tight. We’ve had a bit of relief, and sadly that went to the emotional stabilization of Jason. And some to me. Should we have done something different? Possibly. I can’t say for sure.
Did we make a good investment? Right now I’d say so. Jason while not ecstatic is happier than he’s been in years. The photography thing has really helped him! He was headed down the downward spiral of nothingness.
His love of taking pictures began in high school. I am sad to say we haven’t really done anything to further his love since we’ve been married. He would occasionally talk about it, but it really never made it to the top of the list.
When our friends started getting these cameras several years ago, he would talk about it more and more. Now almost everyone we know has one of these camera’s or one similar to it.
A couple of them even know how to actually do some great things with it. Not that you can’t get great pictures with these camera’s just with the point and shoot method. Which is the one that I always will use.
I may fiddle a little, but Jason is so completely into the settings, the lighting, the details behind the shot. He has got a couple of lenses. So he has got some learning to do.
He did attend the photography class. He came home from it excited for sure. I am glad that he had been fiddling enough with the camera before the class. He had enough knowledge of the camera itself and knew how to do some things that allowed him to soak in even more I think.
The class wasn’t expensive at all, the more advanced ones do get expensive, but hey, it is all good. It is so worth it.
This morning I woke up and he was already out taking pictures of the morning frost on the trees. Which I must say was quite beautiful!
Did he take the best pictures? I don’t know. But he was able to let me see how beautiful the snow looked as it floated on the branches of the trees! I will post one of the shots here.
As far as things have been going for myself. Life hasn’t been that exciting. My body has totally taken over my life again. I have been miserable, after the three days of intense pain, now I am exhausted. I’ve been depressed, I can’t seem to do any moving with out more intense pain setting in. I can sit here all propped up by pillows, but can only be up for short periods of time. grrrrr.
Since the snow began, I have hardly left the house. I don’t know when that was, most days, I don’t even know what day of the week it is. But it has been a very very long time.
It is lonely. Jason is only good for a short amount of actual conversation. I have been on the phone a bit lately, but everyone else is back into the full swings of their lives.
I am glad that they are! I would hate for their lives to be like mine. I usually do quite well entertaining myself. But since I have been in bed 24/7 again for days and days since pretty much before Christmas… well it is becoming taxing on my emotional state of mind.
I am trying to do something that makes me feel good. I like creating digital art. I like taking pictures and making them different. Giving my personality a little room to flow into the shot.
Jason is so good at taking nice pictures! In fact, he has taken lots and lots of great shots! I have been busy tweeking or brightening or sharpening or just completely editing. I feel good about creating things. Makes me happy.
Right now sitting up at the sewing machine or something I think would irritate my neck again. It got bad after each project I finished. It was worth it. But right now I am really feeling the need to get things all calmed down. The pain has started progressing after three projects and I need it to go back down. I want off of the pain medications and I want winter to end!
I look outside right now and dream of sitting out in my nifty lawn chair in the sun. With sunscreen of course.
I did get in the mail a new Vickie’s Secret’s catalog! This issue is the new swimsuit issue! I am excited about this one. I actually may make my own swim suit this year! I need ideas! A new Seed Saver’s Exchange catalog, this is one that I will actually order from, not that I don’t order occasionally or shop at Vickie’s Secret I do. But I am stocked up for now I just enjoy looking and circling!
I love Seed Saver’s Exchange!!! Just love it! They provide excellent quality heirloom seeds and some plants. They are a non profit, and actually BANK seeds in a world seed bank, just in case of a natural or man made disaster. So what this group does will keep man fed for years to come in the future! BLESS THEM! Many many volunteers help out there to make this possible. They have also branched out into other areas, check it out!
In the mail as well came InStyle magazine. Yes, I broke down and got myself a subscription. I was reading this magazine at a couple of places and I fell in love with the issues, so much so I wanted to rip 1/2 of their catalog apart and take it with me. ( I did not do this ) Thought about it. But I did get a couple copies! Then I ordered the magazine. The first issue I received I was disappointed in. I hope this one is better. It is my only paid subscription. I probably should have ordered a health magazine instead. But I LOVE FASHION!! It makes me happy!
So do clothes and shoes even if the only thing I get to do is look at them. Which lately has been the case. EXCEPT for my new shoes and new boots! I wear them around everywhere! Even though I go no where! Hee Hee!!
I especially am loving my DANSKO Professional’s! They make my joints move easier, who’d have thought? I hate taking them off! THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!!!
Well, for my adjenda today, I plan to read these mail items, walk around in my DANSKO Professional’s, keep in mind, it is already late afternoon..
We’ll I did unload the dishwasher that Jason loaded and ran! Yea! Jason!!! I also loaded it. He can start it. I fed Luka and let him out, I brushed my teeth and washed my face. I had kept a MASK on my face since yesterday.
That is a trick I have learned over the years. I use the Revitalizing Mask these days, in the summer I may use the Clarifying Mask. They of course come from the wonderful Mary Kay Cosmetic’s company of which I have been a consultant for for 18 years now. PHEW! (So if you need help in this area, I will hook you up, just let me know!)
I use the Mask and personally leave it on on days when I haven’t been able to wash my face much. Days that I am so miserable, this is something that has gone to the wayside I am afraid. I hate that, I was always so faithful before. But this helps, and I don’t break out and my face still feels clean. (This trick isn’t for everyone, but it does help me!)
Well, since I have only had Jason to speak to lately, besides Luka… He is a little overloaded with the amount of speaking I want to do, or rather would like him to do. The man of fewer words..
He’s done well, I have annoyed him for sure today. At least he gets a break from my chatter tomorrow.
I am having quite the interesting conversations with myself. [SMILE} ….
Ahhhhh….. I feel better tonight aside from getting all tired out.. and not being up much.. doing great! I do not feel as lonely as I had before.
Blessings and Adventures!

HaRd DaY & HiS cLaSs…
Depressing… so skip the top part if you don’t want to read.. It gets better below….
Today, I must have struggled. Some days are harder than others. I guess things cycle. I get tired and my plans seem to go down the drain. I wish that wasn’t the case.
Procrastination can really kick in on those days too. By the time I am actually having some energy or the pain has dissipated… I am so mentally miserable having thought of all I haven’t accomplished that I must force myself to follow through and do what is needed. I hate this part.
I know that everything in life does not revolve around fun. I am not delusional. I just wish that some things weren’t so hard. Staying happy being one of them. Staying focused on what needs done in the order that it needs done. Many times I am thinking clearly enough to do the worst first. Other times, like today the fog set in and life seems to go in a hodge podge of orders.
Clearly not the type of day anyone wants to have. I wish these days would go away. When will it stop? I wonder.
I some days it seems impossible to push through, but I do. I do not know how I do. I always have really worked hard to do things my best.
Days like this. It seems a miracle that what ever I did got done. It might be only the basics.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
~~~ So in writing this last night I must have been getting the beginning of my weather induced pain issues..
I ended up sleeping most of the day. The medication is finally helping. It is now getting dark grrr. I’ve had lots to do that I didn’t get done. I still can’t really function which is why I chose to write again.
I did manage to get the packages I needed to send out. All but two of them anyway. Jason will take the rest of them tomorrow.
I am glad Jason just kept busy doing his thing today, he got some new long johns! He received a recommendation to go to here to get them! He loves that place anyway. I was awake when he got home with them. He had a smile on his face. We had looked for them at the store where I got my socks. The store was very picked over, and they were completely out of Insulating Pants. Bummer!. .. He’s been getting pretty cold at work these days.
He has one pair of them from before, I think he’s had these the entire time we’ve been married. I’d had mine that long too. They last forever! Yea!
The one’s that he ended up getting he put on right away! I never knew but the one’s he’s had our entire marriage, ended at his calves. These slid on effortlessly, and were soft and feel like a second skin like my Cuddle Duds.
He was excited!!! The best part from his perspective besides the feel of them was the fact they were actually long enough to cover his legs! Woot! Thank goodness for friends! We’ve been hooked up again!
That is one of the reason’s I have decided to start sharing about my favorite things! We are benefiting from others sharing things that really work for them.
Now the down side of the purchase they were more than double the price at the other store. Upside. They should last a long time and he will be really happy with them. He may need to get another pair eventually, but we’ve got some other things he needs as well on our list so laundry will have to be done regularly. Nothing wrong with that!
Tonight he is attending a class to learn to better utilize his camera! It is an investment for him. He is learning the basics. He’s read the book or parts of it at least. I enrolled him in a class to learn the first steps to using his camera. I have a feeling the class may bore him a bit.
Life experience being what it is, sometimes if you don’t start at the very beginning thinking you could skip that part, then when you move forward to greater experiences, they sometimes do not translate as well. You feel behind, or you do not get to take advantage of the knowledge being offered as you have missed something very basic along the way.
Besides hands on learning does provide another method for delivering information. Books may not answer all of your questions or provide you with actual real world learning experiences. I think it will be helpful for him to ask questions and get answers from experts in the photo industry who are willing to share their skills and knowledge.
It is good that Jason does have other friends with the same camera or similar ones! I think this line of camera’s is the most popular with those we know. We only know one other person who has a different brand. She of course loves that brand. Differences are good. So are similarities. Both can be learned from and both are respected.
So maybe he will also be able to help out friends if they have a question after this simple class. At the very least he will know what someone is talking about when they talk about something that can be done.
I hope he comes home from this class happy that I registered him for it and happy that he went. He really didn’t want to go. I don’t know that it was so much that he wasn’t interested. I think it was more of the fact he hasn’t really been home in days. Then that we are expecting more snow, and I haven’t been well and it is colder than our freezers are set for outside. Well, hopefully it will all be worth it.
It would be great to have him get back home all charged up about what he learned! He will have more things to try out, more things he will be wanting to do, and more things that he will be better at.
He listens well and he will also benefit from the questions that others are asking. Since the class is being taught at a camera shop well, I am sure he will come away with a list of things that would help him get the pictures he is aching to take. The question will be whether or not we can afford it. Ahhh the joys!
It is good to have dreams!
Right now it makes me happy thinking of him being happy!
It is now several hours past when I woke up. It is supper time and I am able to sit up on my own, phew! I made some food for Luka and will finish writing this before I move on to write some explanations for some art that I have done for a project.
I had planned to have them mailed out today, but they will have to go out tomorrow. After I get results back I will share my ideas. At least the one’s that didn’t get chosen. That may be all that I did… but I did have fun doing it, so either way it will have been worth it. I am happy with what I have done. I hadn’t drawn for about 20 years. So it was good for me to sit down and do.
It was fun and I enjoyed coming up with a variety of ideas. Personally I am impressed with the diversity of styles that I have come up with. I can’t wait to share them. I will probably turn some of them or variations of them into digital art if they don’t get used.
So Jason just called! He is excited, he shared wow, have I got allot to learn! He did know some of what was taught but is excited for sure! He is glad that he went!.. He will be home soon! That is awesome! I am so excited for him. Now I will have to get him enrolled for the intermediate class! Or the lighting class… Or ..?? there are so many to choose from! He’s going to be having some fun!
This series of the same thing is fun! He’s sure been surprising me when he loads the pictures for me to see.
He usually goes out while I am still asleep or when I am not feeling well and am out of it. Sometimes we go together but most of the time it gives him something fun to do on his own. That is so nice, knowing that he is doing something that he is enjoying, and he is learning and developing his skills!!
He has been having some fun experimenting. Note there is no snow in these pictures… So they were taken a while ago, but he is learning! I love seeing what he comes up with! Even if his ideas didn’t work!
I have even been inspired to try some simple things. The big blotches of snow were a neat surprise! He worked so hard that day scooping snow. I love this picture, it won’t win any awards for sure, but I do love it! It made me giggle with glee when I saw the little snow dots appear! How fun, natures confetti!
